ARTIST COLLABORATION
Tabi, seen through someone else’s expression.
ISAMI works with artists and creators across genres: they wear our split-toe tabi and tell it in their own words.
Not knitted like a sock, but tailored like a tabi.
How does one pair look on someone else’s feet?
This page is the record.

VOL.01 ― MIYU KAWABATA
Miyu Kawabata × The Knit Tabi
Note: this is a paid partnership between ISAMI Corporation and Miyu Kawabata. Her posts carry a PR / paid-partnership label.
Our ties with Ms. Kawabata go back three years.
With our sister brand Isami Tabi Honpo, she released a collaboration piece: 頂 -itadaki-, a knee-high, boot-style tabi.
Now she appears as ISAMI’s first artist.
Her sense of style, and her world, dress The Knit Tabi.
She walked the town of Kawagoe in The Knit Tabi:
the street of clay-walled kurazukuri warehouses, the stone steps, the Toki no Kane bell tower.
Tabi with sandals. Tabi with everyday clothes.
PROFILE
Miyu Kawabata

She is known for her own distinctive style, pairing kimono found in vintage shops with everyday clothes and boots, and for make-up she approaches like drawing.
Many of her followers are outside Japan.

From late October, Ms. Kawabata will share The Knit Tabi in her own words.
And on Saturday 21 November 2026, at ISAMI Store Kawagoe, our shop in Kawagoe, which carries these tabi,
